Iran and Terrorism

I have talked about this issue before, but I would like to talk about it once more. Many of you may already know that Matt Lauer of the Today Show is reporting from Iran this morning. This post is not to talk about what Lauer will say this morning, it is to talk about what may not be discussed. The media often talks a great deal about the fact that Iran may be helping insurgents in Iraq. On the other hand it seems as if very little is mentioned concerning whether Saudi Arabia is also giving financial support to some insurgents in Iraq. However, yesterday there was a ticker story(one of those stories that runs at the bottom of the screen) that pointed out that part of the reason for the lack of progress in Iraq may be the fact that Saudi Arabia is giving financial support to some insurgents in Iraq.

I think it is time for the media to start talking about the Saudi Arabia issues and asking questions to the Bush Administration. The media needs to start asking Condi Rice and other Bush Administration officials why they are not discussing the issue. The media also needs to ask why the Bush Administration signed an arms deal with Saudi Arabia when there was speculation that Saudi Arabia was behind some of the problems in Iraq.

It is not that I am a supporter of Iran I just think the public should be informed that Saudi Arabia is possibly supporting some insurgents in Iraq. I realize that the print media has been willing to talk about this issue, but it seems that the television media has mainly ignored the issue.
