I just shook US Senator Joe Biden's hand!!!

He was at a book signing for "Promises to Keep". He arrived about 15 minutes late. After a short talk, he introduced his wife and niece. He then read a few very emotional passages from the book. He had to leave early for a live appearance on Kieth Olbermann's show tonight. I got a signed copy of the book and a handshake. I didn't get a photo with him. I did take a phone photo of him. He will be at a labor breakfast in the morning. Like ALL our Democratic candidates, he would make a wonderful president.

Glad you got the book and - by the way - thank you for standing up to be counted and posting all you do for organized labor. Sincerely. It's MUCH appreciated!

9. Kudos To You, Omaha Steve
I know the feeling. During the 1994 election a campaign rally for Bill Clinton and got to shake his, Al Gore's, and Hillary's hands. Bill gave me one of those "thumbs up" that he often does and I felt like a giddy little girl (no offense, ladies). I was great.

I hope the election's outcome proves as favorable for the hand you shook as the 1994 election did for the hand I shook. If the Democrats really want to win the White House in 2008, they'll nominate Senator Joe Biden. He would be Karl Rove's worst nightmare. I think Rudy Giuliani will win the Republican nomination and Joe Biden is the one Democrat that can go toe to toe with him on all national security issues and come out on top. Nominate someone else and we can expect to have 4 more years of a Republican in the White House.
