1. He's really starting to piss me off |

Proper behavior would be to let him at least speak for 10 minutes.

...BUT, its very good strategy on Kerry's part...and he won't be able to do that in a two man race. Edwards is a much better speaker than Kerry.

Had you been watching C-SPAN, you'd have seen the introducing candidates signal the time Kerry was going to be on well before Edwards took the stage. Edwards, had his staff been watching television, could have delayed their speech if they wanted the airtime.

11. Doesn't matter....this will bite Kerry in the butt... |
|
The people watching at home on CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, and FOX will see this and think Kerry is a jerk.
It's a move someone like Rove would try to pull.
Kerry pissed me off with this one. And now he's trying to talk about the same themes that Edwards addresses... two Americas, outsourcing, etc...
I'll vote for him against Bush, but man... he's looking more like a weasel every day.
Two weeks until super Tuesday... that's an infinity in primary time. By March 2nd, the "inevitability" of Kerry will be old news.
Go JRE!

37. But I would think that is what we want... |
|
..."we" being those who care about the issue more than the candidate, not to say you don't...sorry...back and forth between screens and getting muddled. I mean that the PROCESS, including Edward's strong showing, should push Kerry toward more progressive stances. Should he be the nominee, that is critical. And Dean, Clark, et al have played-or are playing (Edwards, Kucinich, Sharpton)- a crucial role in that making whichever is the candidate strong enough (ie, has enough voter support for) positions that are good for workers, poor people, minorities. This is how it works. I am not an Edwards supporter, but good to see his anti-Nafta, two Americas voice getting a response.

That's been about normal for what I've seen the entire campaign.
Edwards was given less than a minute, according to one poster.

17. I heard it announced first that Kerry was going to speak, |
|
then they went to Edwards and switched back to Kerry when he came on.
Let's not be so testy here. Edwards probably didn't hear it and was on his way down. Kerry was probably on his way down too when Edwards got on.
I've not seen acrimony between these 2 men. I think they would be respectful to each other and the wires just got crossed.
Why look for a fight? Good grief.

to think that was not choreographed. This is a high stakes political campaign. It was coreographed --- Kerry knows Edwards is a much better speaker than he is....and so do his strategists who call these shots.

|
from the candidates that you never heard before!
I'm entitled to my opinion, thank you very much.
If you want to see the speech, you can watch it on c-span.
Jebus, they cut out of my guys bowing out speech a few minutes into it, to watch no-neck shuffle papers. His last fucking speech.
Edwards will have plenty more speechifying in the future.
