Iraq Pullout Will Be A Catastrophe - Why Don't Dems Realize That?
Pulling out of Iraq will be a horrible and ugly shitstorm. I know that triangulation is the favorite sport of most Congressional "Democrats", but don't they realize that putting it off until after the next election will make the pullout associated with Democrats rather than Republicans?

11. Yep
They need to refund the war, NOW.

I was listening to Sister Space on my local Pacifica radio with Peter Thottlam director of the L.A. National Impeachment Center and a local attorney, whose name escapes me. While Thottlam made a lot of good points about impeachment, the attorney from Houston repeatedly said that we still have a system of checks and balances. Bush is the commander in chief. Congress holds the purse strings. They need to cut off funding! I really, really think there are some Repubs who can see the handwriting on the wall, and if they had to vote, I think they would vote in their own SELF INTEREST to get re-elected and defund. Not every Republican is running in a hard core Republican areas. Some of these Repugs know they are going to lose their seats!

4. It won't be near the Catastrophe, if we pull out NOW ,,,

rather than waiting for 58,000 troops to die for A LIE!

The Civil War MUST happen. Why are "we Americans" so damn arrogant to believe that the Iraqis can't sort this out themselves?!? They've been kicking out invaders within the Middle East for centuries.

All this FEAR-MONGERING BULLSHIT truly reminds me of the right wingers before we pulled out of Vietnam. Gee, it was horrific for a while, but look at Vietnam NOW?

Before anything can stand a ghost of a chance of "stabilizing" we must pull our our invading and occupying army OUT OF IRAQ! NOW is much better than getting kicked out after we've totally fleeced our treasury to enrichen the World's War Profiteers.

p.s. No fears should be about the Nation of Iran taking over ... well unless you forget the recent BLOODY 10 year war between Iraq and Iran. :eyes:

10. Thanks. Plus we can hold a significant number of troops in Kuwait, just in case
Iran chooses to "act stupid." However, I sincerely doubt that they will. The Iraqis hate the Iranians and vice versa. One million Iranians and hundreds of thousands Iraqis died in that bloodbath. This meme of Iran being "a conquering monster" is a load of crap. We all know that so don't let the FEAR-MONGERS help the War Profiteering Mega-Corporation steal our hard earned tax dollars any longer. S

Let's shut them down NOW before they choose to do something truly stupid, like start WWIII?

7. The Sunnis will be armed/funded by Saudi Arabia (i.e. US weapons) and the Shias...
...will be armed/funded by Iran (i.e. Chinese & Russian weapons). Why lose American lives in the inevitable proxy war between the old Cold Warriors?

8. So Are You Saying They SHOULD Pull Out Now?
WTF are you saying? The majority in this country(a big one) WANT the troops out a.s.a.p. I would think the Dems would WANT the withdrawal associated w/ them. It would mean they are doing what they were elected to do.
