Bush dissed by former Mexican prez Vicente Fox in his book
Some Friend, W's Mexican Amigo

September 16, 2007 12:06 PM ET | Bedard, Paul
At the White House, the president has got to be muttering "some friend" when he pores over the new autobio from his old buddy Vicente Fox, Mexico's former leader. That's because Fox raps his border pal as stubborn and "the cockiest guy I have ever met in my life." Revolution of Hope, out next month, is a well-written, well-researched book about Fox's political career and presidency, which coincided with George W. Bush's. While he expresses a kinship with W, he breaks with the prez on the war and slams the GOP's immigration platform. He blames Bush's stubbornness on Iraq for bad international relations, calls his Spanish "grade-school level," and admits he didn't think Bush would ever become president. "I can't honestly say that I had ever seen George W. Bush getting to the White House," he pens.

2. I doubt there is much chance of Wee George reading that book
or *ANY* book for that matter.

As far as George being cocky, he is, but in a Charles Starkweather type of way (even down to the bow-legs).

8. I think the truth is breaking out
there will be so many people with books out that it will be impossible to nay say, how can we doubt the story of
someone who was the president of our southern neighbor, it's not like he was a lurker somewhere.

9. I agree Fox was not a man of the people
but his book may do some good if it shines a light on Team Bush.

12. Well, they certainly spent time together
Bush was trying to counteract the leftist swing in South America but instead he has only made it
stronger.

16. the problem is that nobody really likes Team Bush
they never had time to listen to others, I remember him saying I would like to meet with you (Republican) to ask you
for your vote on this bill and I don't have time to discuss it with you. What's that say, you listen, I'll dictate
what you are going to do for me.

17. Of course
He was probably doing a cardio workout the whole time Greenspan was there or thinking about lunch or walking the dog.
I bet he knows nothing about Greenspan at all.
