Turns out, I'm a Kucinich supporter according to the candidate calculator.
with an 85% match in issues.

With the next 3 choices at:
Former Alaska Senator Mike Gravel (D) - 76.47%
Delaware Senator Joseph Biden (D) - 73.53%
New York Senator Hillary Clinton (D) - 70.59%

I thought I liked Edwards and he's way down the list!!!

Go figure.....

but I want Obama to win nomination.

I like my bottom of the barrel:

Former Tennessee Senator Thompson (R) - 17.78%

Kansas Senator Sam Brownback (R) - 8.89%
Businessman John Cox (R) - 8.89%

5. Apparently I have more in common with Ron Paul than I do with Barack Obama. Weird.
My Middle of the pack list:

Former North Carolina Senator John Edwards (D) - 54.35%
Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd (D) - 53.62%
Texas Representative Ron Paul (R) - 53.62%
Illinois Senator Barack Obama (D) - 52.17%
Delaware Senator Joseph Biden (D) - 50.72%
Arizona Senator John McCain (R) - 33.33%
Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R) - 27.54%
Colorado Representative Tom Tancredo (R) - 21.74%
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) - 15.94%
California Representative Duncan Hunter (R) - 15.22%

I was an 85.51% match with Kucinich though. Me thinks this quiz is fucked up.

6. Kucinich
Interesting John Edwards, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden all have the same score for me - Edwards is my second choice to Kucinich - but I'm going to have a very hard time voting for Hillary - because I REALLY DON'T TRUST HER - Edwards I trust WAY MORE - but still have concerns....

Dennis Kucinich 89.47%
Mike Gravel 73.68%
Joseph Biden 71.05%
Hillary Clinton 71.05%
John Edwards 71.05%
Christopher Dodd 68.42%
Barack Obama 63.16%
Bill Richardson 60.53%

Ron Paul 36.84%
John Cox 26.32%
Rudy Giuliani 26.32%
John McCain 21.05%
Mike Huckabee 18.42%
Tommy Thompson 13.16%
Duncan Hunter 10.53%
Mitt Romney 10.53%
Tom Tancredo 10.53%
Sam Brownback 7.89%

7. I got Kucinich, too, 94.03%
My other top matches:

Mike Gravel (D) - 79.10%
Hillary Clinton (D) - 73.13%
John Edwards (D) - 70.15%

Based on personal "gut feeling" (or maybe just personal attraction?), I've been leaning toward Edwards. I don't think Kucinich or Gravel have a chance, so maybe I should reevaluate Clinton. From the attitude on DU, I'd become convinced she was one step up from a Republican.

Bottom of the barrel:

Tom Tancredo (R) - 11.94%
Mitt Romney (R) - 5.97%
Sam Brownback (R) - 4.48%
Duncan Hunter (R) - 3.73%

8. My top 3 were Kucinich, Gravel, and Clinton. But I'm still supporting Obama
The calculator was a neat exercise but I think it was more a measure of degree of support for issues rather than the kind of issues supported. Electability and other intangibles are just as important to me when selecting a candidate. Obama has a certain "it" factor that I don't see in the other candidates. I also believe that he has the intelligence and character to rethink and reevaluate his positions as necessary.

10. Sorta odd that I matched both Biden and Kucinich at 74.55
and they put Biden as the top. Second, though was Edwards and Gravel at 70.91.

I thought the quiz was lame. No questions about either poverty or taxes - no wonder Edwards did not rank very high, and Gravel is the absolute last person I would vote for in the primary, because of his endorsement of the UnFairTax. Questions without specifics are inaccurate as well. Do I support Universal Health Care? Yes, but it depends on the plan. High, medium, and low also do not distinguish as much as a 1-9 rating would. A low that is a 3 is not too different from a medium that's a 4, but alot different from a high that is a 9.

40. One of the interesting things I saw on this site is that they seem to also
be using all the participants answers to make a "composite candidate" and Obama is leading.

I got:

Kucinich: 93+
Gravel: 79+ (if they had asked about a flat tax he would have fallen a lot so he doesn't count to me)
Obama: 77+
Edwards: 71+

All of the other Dems are in the 60+, except Richardson, he's 58+. His record doesn't really match his current positions.

The highest republic is Paul with 49+. All the others are 27 and down to my bottom two candidates with Mittens coming in at 6.9 and Fred "Dumb as a Door Knob" Thompson coming in at 3.45. I seriously have to wonder what the heck I could agree with Thompson on 3.45% of the time?!?!?
