Hillary...a dozen STANDING OVATIONS from Laborers International Union
Edited on Mon Sep-17-07 11:48 AM by Tellurian
Chicago Tribune already reports on the Laborers International Union:

“New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton touted herself Monday as a longtime supporter of the labor movement, while criticizing the Bush administration for policies she said create a “government of the few, by the few and for the few.”

“There will be no invisible Americans when I am president,” Clinton told a roaring crowd of about 1,000 members of the Laborers’ International Union of North America during a meeting in Chicago.

Clinton, the first of three Democratic presidential contenders slated to speak to the the union Monday, received more than a dozen standing ovations during her nearly 30-minute speech. She also hinted about the massive health care plan she was slated to unveil at a campaign stop in Iowa later Monday.”

I think Molly Ivins had Hillary pegged pretty well. I believe I have the entire Ivins article at my website. Hillary will, apparently, do anything to be president - even voting for a stupid war based on a bunch of lies...

74. Nobody denies it was wrong
However, this is a thread about a union endorsement, not Iraq. If you want to debate Iraq, you could wander over to the other 10000 topics about it. If you wanted to link her Iraq vote to how it relates to this latest endorsement & the underlying issue of electability, a vast majority of American's say the Iraq vote will not impact who they vote for anyways, thus once again, making your point irrelevent to the topic at hand.

75. 1 Million union endorsements will not
erase that horrible vote in 2002. Sorry Hill... that vote is why she shouldn't be president, and is, in fact, a criminal like George Bush and Dick Cheney. She is not a leader. She does not make the tough decisions.

If America wants a triangulating, flip-flopping, scandal-ridden, poll-taking president then they should vote HIllary in 2008....

Which is electability. You obviousley have your own views about her, but shouting IRAQ! IRAQ! IRAQ! at every turn, does not hurt her one bit.

83. Would you be "wrong" if your kid got a letter home
from the teacher saying he misbehaved, and you punished him, if it turned out that the teacher was lying? Of course not. You can say that had you known all the facts, you wouldn't have punished your kid, but you're not "wrong" for putting trust in what *should be* a trustworthy authority.

85. LOL; Hillary didn't bother to read the N.I.E.
2002 National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. She had more important things to do, apparently, than read some crumby NIE on Iraq's WMD.

This another reason Hillary should not be president - she, like George Bush, does not read important reports and documents..

Even the constant death, violence and bloodshed in Iraq is fun... and what could be better than Hillary's voting in favor of the invasion that started it all??

other fun things: the increase in unemployment, bankruptcies, and the huge national debt; our kids scoring low on test scores and our failing schools....

high gas prices and our dependence on foreign oil...

64. She didn't deserve a single one of them. She is an AWFUL candidate.
