Who would be happy with a Kucinich-Kerry-Edwards race? |
|
Edited on Tue Feb-17-04 11:39 PM by wheresthemind
If Dean dropped and endorsed Edwards and Sharpton dropped and endorsed Dennis.
Would this be a satisfactory race for those who want to narrow the field? This would provide some very very good debate I think and would make for nice balance in issues.
I would be happy if any of those 3 were the nominee!
What do you guys think?

They all agree on some, all disagree on some... would make for a great discussion.

Edwards: We must end NAFTA. It is destorying Americans manufaturing base.
Kucinich: We must withdraw from WTO. It forces workers to "race to the bottom". It hurts Americans AND people in third world nations.
Kerry: I promise to engage a commision investigate NAFTA side agreemants for 120 days. We need to enforce these side agreemants?
Voter: What the FUCK is Kerry talking about?????
Honestly, I hope Kerry has a change of heart and embraces a platform to END NAFTA, GATT, and WTO. Kerry has the resume and the record to beat Bush. But he MUST get strong about the free trade issue. Bush is VERY weak on this and is getting pummeled. Kerry CANNOT capitalize on this if he DOES NOT oppose free trade*.
* Actually, this is basically what Nader told us in 2000. Democrats are serving corporations as much as Republicans. What choice do we really have in that instance.

5. I think it'd be nice because they could show some unity and stilldebate... |
|
Edwards and Kerry could aggree on the war and back eachother up on the patriot act ect.
Edwards and Kucinich on trade.
Kucinich and Kerry on the enviorment
Kucinich would be the soul of the debate. He would keep me and my ideas repersented!

one thing, and I know you did not state it this way but Dean and Sharpton must drop out, not be left out. After feeling the brutal stings tonight on this board I just wanted to be clear myself before I posted my thoughts. I think it would be an outstanding debate.

9. that's like hoping for a Karl Lewis/Michael Johnson/Limbaugh race |
|
you know? But I'd be happy to see that race. I'm happy Dean is still in there too. Heck. Sharpton too. He is still in there, isn't he?

10. Kucinich, Edwards and Kerry are my favorites in that order. |
|
I'd prefer Kucinich but I'd be fine with any of these three. I like Sharpton. He's great in the debates. Someone should appoint him Secretary of State and give him some experience. On second thought, Sharpton for DNC chair.
