The Media is eating this primary up! *uck* |
|
If there is one thing the media loves is DRAMA.
This Edwards v. Kerry thing is going to dominate our TVs for sometime now. It seems that the media is already turning on Kerry and promoting Edwards as the insurgent hero. :puke:
Anyone else upset by this spin-derella story.

It's free publicity for the Democratic Party!!! I think this newfound drama is great and what politics is all about!

No one is winning on the issues, anyway. Just their percieved momentum and "electability". It's silly.

..I realize that Edwards has a much better chance of beating Bush than Kerry does.
I want Bush out... so I'm a big Edwards fan.
If you're ABB, you should vote for Edwards. He's the best chance to win in November.

15. Kerry still won - and many people in CLOSED primary states will... |
|
...rally around him. I've said before that "Kerry doesn't need my vote, so I'll give it to Dean or Kucinich to keep them viable." Apparantly (looking at WI for Clark numbers) a lot of Clark supporters may have cast their "earned vote" for him, not realizing it would create a near-upset.
For me, it has forced my hand. I'd love to help out Dean or Kucinich, or cast my "earned vote" for Clark, but now, I am determined to cast it for Kerry. I suspect the many die-hard Kerry supporters will do the same when it comes their turn next week.
But if I'm wrong, Edwards is NOT bad. I can live with that too.

The longer the primary remains competitive the more press we get, and that is a very good thing. The media has to cover the primary and that means potentially months more of the "bush sucks donkey balls" message getting out. For Christ's sake even faux has to cover the primaries and deliver our message for us.
An additional benefit is that Edwards is a stronger candidate than Kerry and could have a shot at stealing the nomination.
