habeuas corpos restoration act: Find out how your senator is voting, and call:
Here is a link to Leahy's count of votes for tomorrow. If you fill in your zip
code, they will tell you your senators' positions. 40 senators are "undecided". Imagine that.
They need 9 more votes to turn by tomorrow in order to vote.

details at the link

1. Called both of mine
Lot of good it will do in the great state of Texas, but my opinion has been heard. I have emailed and called today. We will see.

2. Every single mailing list I'm on is letting me know that it's time
to call. I find this encouraging.

The list at the link will show you who's wavering. Remember that "at risk" Repugs might be convinced.

5. I wonder why this Act isn't getting more attention, at least at DU?
It would seem to me to be the most important order of the day.

Oh well, here's a big k & r from me anyway. Hopefully it'll get enough recommendations shortly to put it front and center where it belongs.

Thanks for posting this.

17. Just because the website lists them as undecided it doesn't mean they they are so
Edited on Wed Sep-19-07 05:38 AM by Freddie Stubbs
Many member of Congress keep their cards close to themselves, not publicly announcing in advance. how they will vote on a particular bill.
