1. No wonder the GOP wants to see Edwards out of the running
What's sad is that so many DUers seem to have bought the rubbish about him.

2. Yeah. That is sad.
Many Democrats in general seem to have bought the rubbish about him, and seem to be blind to the fact that the GOP is salivating over the idea of getting to run against Clinton. Man! If the Democratic primary voters allow themselves to get led down the garden path by the GOP AGAIN and tricked once again into nominating our weakest candidate, I don't know what I'll do. I'm going to be hopping mad, that's for sure! In the end I'll vote for whoever the nominee is, but I will have a sense of dread about it if that's Clinton. We really should have caught on to their tactics by now. We really should. I hope we don't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again.

Adn heck the man went to school half his life, to be able to live a better life, even chose the righ wife.Remember when we voted for Bill because we thought Hillary would be a help...What about affording Edwards the same favor.

3. It's clear as day
to me. I wonder why it isn't to many others?

He's my first choice even though I said I wouldn't vote on anyone that is anti marriage equality. Then I faced reality. Our culture is too fucked to get over their homophobia during my lifetime.

I'm voting for who the nominee is in the end- though I wish it was Elizabeth Edwards who was running because I really, really, really want a woman president.

5. Except for one thing
It's been rumored that Rove is one of Romney's political advisors now.

So, this is significant.

6. I think there are a LOT of people who will end up voting for Edwards.
In the privacy of the voting booth, I'm hoping clear heads will prevail.

8. Of course it's exciting, but also somewhat expected.

And I say that as an Edwards supporter.

You have John Edwards, a southern populist, arguably the most liberal major candidate who manages to present himself as moderate.

Then you have Mitt Romney, a Mormon (strike one) "former" supporter of gay rights and abortion (strike two) from the northeast (strike three!).

We can only pray Mittens is the republican nominee, because I could envision this scenario playing out in other souther states as well.
