Looks like the fundie knuckle-dragger contingent still can't find a candidate worthy enough to carry their torch this election...

Dobson Says He Won't Support Thompson
By ERIC GORSKI

DENVER (AP) — James Dobson, one of the nation's most politically influential evangelical Christians, made it clear in a message to friends this week he will not support Republican presidential hopeful Fred Thompson.

In a private e-mail obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press, Dobson accuses the former Tennessee senator and actor of being weak on the campaign trail and wrong on issues dear to social conservatives.

"Isn't Thompson the candidate who is opposed to a Constitutional amendment to protect marriage, believes there should be 50 different definitions of marriage in the U.S., favors McCain-Feingold, won't talk at all about what he believes, and can't speak his way out of a paper bag on the campaign trail?" Dobson wrote.

"He has no passion, no zeal, and no apparent 'want to.' And yet he is apparently the Great Hope that burns in the breasts of many conservative Christians? Well, not for me, my brothers. Not for me!"

2. Jim Dobson dissing Fred Thompson.
A case of a psychotic tyrant dismissing a philistine schlub.

"This is today's GOP."

3. Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark. Rudy's still charging ahead--
will probably be the last man standing, with Mittens standing by if he fails.

4. I am still saying its gonna be Huckabee.Seriously. He is a "real" Conservative
and while I disagree with him on just about everything, seems to be honest and a nice guy! They have no other choice than Hucka bee. They are NOT going to go to the 3 times divorced Rudy or the Mormon Mittens who supported state funded abortion. They aren't.

6. "Real" conservatives don't actually like him. He is not a fiscal
conservative, flip-flopped on immigration, and the national smoking ban proposal effectively killed any slim chance he had. And even in Freeperville, they're not really excited about him being a preacher, for whatever reason.

5. Dobson is a narcissistic non Christian.
He is everything a Christian is NOT suppose to be. A greedy lair that supports the killing of innocent civilians in a predominantly non Christian country. :dem:
