According to CNN Dean still has more delegates than Edwards |

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/I think Dean supporters can make a strong claim that they're candidate isn't dead yet.

Oh, yeah, they'll screech about superdelegates being "uncommitted" (which is true), but Dean DOES have more delegates. It's hard to imagine his superdelegates abandoning him for two reasons:
1) Unless he's mathematically eliminated, he's still got a shot at a brokered convention.
2) Kerry is SO far ahead that their defection to either Kerry or Edwards would not change the outcome of the race.
Dean's in it unless Kerry gets enough delegates to clinch it before the convention.

2. Gee--I'm glad you brought that up... |

I was hoping someone would. Edwards is only 171 away from Kerry and Dean has Delegates and Super Delegates. Been wondering how anyone could say Dean is over. Actually, he's doing really well in the delegate department. I like that man. When I found out it made me wonder?

the whorehouse known as cable news for two days running asks "should Dean drop out?" Today, every 15 minutes on CNN someone was asking this question in one form or another, the exception being the respectable Lou Dobbs.
No one bothered once to ask if it was time for Edwards, Sharpton, or Kucinich to drop out. Which is more proof that the media wants Dean out.
Let me be clear on this point: everyone should stay in as long as they can keep coughing up the needed dough. It is glorious to hear all these candidates dress-down the under-achiever in chief. It is so very good to hear these people speak openly of the enormous mess this country and the world has become under the current maladministration.

Dean's been getting scraps, to be blunt, while Edwards has actually won a primary and almost won another 2. Dean has no prospects, that's why nobody gives him a chance even with a few more delegates. He lost his union endorsement, his chairman abandoned him, and he doesn't have a southern niche like Edwards does.
