Republicans Pass Non-Binding Resolution Against MoveOn getting 72 votes &
Edited on Thu Sep-20-07 02:33 PM by EV_Ares
Dems can't even get 60 votes to fight the war on anything. Evidently republicans are still in charge and evidently some dems had to vote with the republicans for it to pass the way it did.

Also, that vote against MoveOn just proved what kind of leaders Reid and Pelosi are if they can't control the dems any better than that. There should not have been enough dems to vote with the republicans for that to pass.

4. I know, could not believe it when I heard it on the news. They have been
blaming the republicans for not being able to pass legislation. Who are they going to blame for the republicans being able to pass legislation like this and getting that many votes. Un-fucking-believable.

6. The thing about it is. Who is going to be the better friend to the
democrats?

MoveOn.org.
Republicans
The Media.

With those choices you would have thought they would have gone with MoveOn.

Lets see how many favors the republicans do for the dems for voting with them.

Lets see how much compromise the dems get from the republicans. I would imagine as much as they have been getting.

11. I know. I gave him $ and rang doorbells for him.
We have to console ourselves by thinking of who he isn't—Rick Santorum. Casey was the best we were gonna do, we knew that going in, so we have to bide our time until the landscape changes and we can get in a true progressive. At least he ain't Santorum.

12. You are right, they couldn't have passed it w/o the dems who voted
with them. I should have worded it was their bill they put out for a vote. Really strange, dems are to be in charge, keep saying they can't get a bill passed because of the republicans. Republicans put up a bill like this and get that many votes against and organization that works for getting dems elected. The dems will regret this one big time.
