So the Iranian president is not allowed to visit the Towers memorial site... |
|
And they, meaning Bush and the "Media, are making a big deal out of it...
Could things get anymore ridiculous...
Saudi Princes, Taliban sympathizers and Sunni's all, I am sure have had free unfettered access to pretty much anywhere they want to go...
Including the Towers site...
But weren't like 80% of the 9/11 band of terrorists from the desert kingdom...
And weren't they all Sunni's...
And BTW, didn't Iran help us get rid of the Taliban...
Oh yea, forgot that one...
And now, just because Bush sophomorically dubbed Iran, Iraq and North Korea the "Axis of Evil", cringe you "evildoers", some nut case excuse of a president, notice anything uncannily ironic, can't lay a wreath or speak some words at the Twin Towers site...
A man and a Shi'ite country that helped us take down the Sunni Tali-ban running Afghanistan and spawning old what's his name is not allowed to even visit the site...
This is what happens when you elect a intellectually challenged leader who surrounds himself with sycophantic enablers...
Hmmmm more irony...
It's not like I am all gung ho about this guy coming into the country and using the Tower site as a propaganda tool back home, as if he already isn't using the "snub" on official Iranian TV...
But to blow something like this way out of proportion...
It's takes all kinds I guess...
Anyway, what I would really like to see is Bush and the crazy guy from Iran just settle their differences in a boxing ring that way all the rest of us won't get involved in their international pissing match...
Well that's my two cents...

8. Aren't they now in trouble for doing so? |
|
It's been such a crazy day, I can't remember if I dreamed it, heard it, or read a snippet somewhere, but I thought I saw/heard they were being pressured to revoke the invite.

5. Don't have anything to add to your post, good one |
|
Can we survive for another year and a half? Even the worst president we have ever had, as far as I can tell, would have a better response to the Iranian President than George.

7. I thought that was kind of strange, myself... |

Your points are well taken...
And I love your idea about the boxing ring!
Wouldn't it be cool if we could settle all the world's conflicts that way?
Let all these "leaders" duke it out and leave the rest of us out of it?
Of course, it's far too sensible an idea to ever have a snowball's chance in hell of succeeding...
