Wes Clark on MSNBC's Joe Scarborough this morning. His position on Petraeus that of Obama, not Hil.
Clark said in so many words that General Petraeus was obligated to follow the orders of his commander-in-chief and that the MoveOn ad and subsequent Congressional vote regarding the ad was a "distraction" from what needed to be done in Iraq.

Will post video of the interview, if MSNBC makes it available.

2. Clark's position = Obama's = MoveOn's
MoveOn website - "The U.S. Senate just told you to sit down and be quiet."

3. I couldn't care less what Clark ...
Or any other apologist has to say on the matter. Petraeus is a Bush political appointee and traitor to the American people.

A snazzy uniform with a chest full of ribbons does not make you a god, nor does it absolve you of treachery.

6. Good point!
If we can read between the lines of what they are saying....It's the Commander-in-Chief.!!!!! He has set the parameters, he lies and deceives all.

Congress, the Military, they all are bound by sworn duty to ultimately follow the chain of command, (in time of War for Congress) the Commander-in-Chief. Now, if the Commander-in-Chief lies or gives orders to his team, then tells a a variety of lies the American people...etc....the rotten pot is served up by this Commander-in-Chief! These people, these Officials of Congress and the Military, they take hit after hit, after hit.

Our only real tool is the media.....which has failed miserably out of fear of this administration and greed....keep a paycheck running!

7. Huh??? Obama was a coward, and did not vote on the condemnation.
Edited on Fri Sep-21-07 08:24 AM by robcon
The only way Clark could follow Obama's position on condemning the Petraeus ad was for Clark to run and hide when the question was asked.

Obama had canceled his event schedule to vote on Boxer's amendment. Why didn't he vote on the Moveon amendment an hour later? Cowardice.

I could accept either vote from Obama. I'm torn myself - I think the ad was stupid tactically, but have no problem with those who refuse to give in to the Repubs's ploy to condemn the ad. I can't accept no vote at all. Biden, also, was a coward.
