Really informative, Brownback is a co-sponsor on this bill concerning the division of Iraq.

1. So is Kay Bailey Hutchinson!

This is going to be an interesting debate.

Biden does have the ability to work across the aisle.

Sen. Joe Biden's amendment has 11 co-sponsors, including four Republicans.

WASHINGTON -- A bipartisan resolution based on Sen. Joe Biden's plan for a political settlement in Iraq may come to a vote this week or next as an amendment to the Defense Authorization Bill.

While the Bush administration supports the idea of a strong central government in Iraq, the amendment calls for promoting a federal system with strong regions and a limited central government, based on provisions in Iraq's constitution.

It also states that the U.S. government should bring in the international community to support a settlement based on federalism and to convene a conference with Iraqis to help them reach that settlement.

The amendment, filed on Thursday, has 11 co-sponsors, including four Republicans.

6. My gawd, that was a powerful presentation!!
If he doesn't succeed as a presidental candidate I am so damn glad he is in our Senate. Finally someone that speaks and I can feel like he speaks for me. Not that everything he is says I fall on the floor agreeing with, he just presents intelligent ideas and issues to ponder.
