1. Because the media is run by slimeball GOP supporters maybe?

3. The GOP gets a pass on a LOT, and this is a really good example. nt

2. The Washington Post had a story about it the other day
But most of the media has been strangely silent.

4. I missed that -- thanks. I think TV news could step up with this story. nt

5. I'm not surprised at the lack of interest - just look at DU - yours is one of the first posts

I've seen that rasies the issue. If DUers aren't all that interested in whether the GOP is dissing minorities (we seem much more interested in bashing other Democrats), why would we expect the mainstream media or public at large to give a hoot.

10. Posting in the AA forum is like preaching to the choir :-)
As indicated by the reaction, black folks already know about this.

But this is (or should be) a topic for discussion in this forum, since it's not just a black issue. I stopped raising such issues here because, frankly, I started getting disgusted with some of the responses that made me really wonder what party I'm in.

7. I've seen this on a blog or two, but try not to post too much GOP
info, because not many people are interested in it here.

8. Thanks, sister! If it would get a little notice on TV news, this would be common knowledge...
as it should be.

12. I heard it on CNN & MSNBC too. Maybe not often, but Iknow they
discussed it on TSR at least once. They even did a report of AH Gingrich telling the Pubs they were crazy to ignore minority groups like Blacks & Gays.

13. Kind of sad that Gingrich and Kemp are saying more about it than the Dems are!

17. Kemp was always liberal-minded when it came to minorities
But Gingrich (gags)... guessing his stance is a matter of strategy, not policy.

18. Yes, Kemp has always been a moderate Pub, but the AH from Ga. is thinking about
funning for Prez in 08...you watch! I'm from Ga. and I can't stand that AH liar, but his ego such that he THINKS he can be the Pub savior!

15. CNN has it - and an article about it - on their online site
I didn't hear about it on their news tho. But I only flip thru CNN Headline News once in a while. I get so sick of Britney, Lindsey, OJ etc.
