17. The funny part is...

He had passed me a couple of times as I was meandering down Main Street.

I went around a corner and there was a dumpster just waiting to be peed on. So I was more than willing to oblige.

Bad timing.

I must know every cop in Town but this guy.

He asked me where I lived and I just waved in the general direction of Old Town, up the hill.

Then, when he asked me for some ID, all I has was my State of Texas Identification Card.

He asked me for my Driver's License and I told him that I don't drive.

So he puts me (un-cuffed) in the car and drives me home. Asked me if there was someone there who could vouch for me. Exactly what I didn't need.

I gave him my key and told him if he went in the den, he would find a Martin guitar lying on the couch with a little plaque inside from the Martin Custom Shop to TomInTib. He wouldn't go for it.

Started banging on the door at 4AM.

GF, groggy-like, opens the door and sees me standing there with a cop.

That's when my troubles began.

You'd think I would learn.

But nooooo....
