Do you really want your preferred candidate to win? |

The more I think about what this country is facing, I'm not sure I'd wish the presidency on someone I didn't like let alone someone I did. Unlike the gift of eight years of peace and prosperity that Clinton left for Bush (who couldn't wait to destroy it), the next president is inheriting the worst FP disaster in memory and no one has any realsitic idea of what to do about it. Even pulling every single American out of the region will leave a mess that will take decades of extraordinary diplomacy and skill to keep from roiling into WWIII or worse, and that may not be enough. Add to that the looming domestic economic disasters of home forclosures(homlessness) and credit debt and everything that comes with it...I don't know if I want to watch my favorite candidate taking the fall for all of this when it comes crashing down.
For the longest time, Bush managed to blame any mistakes and misteps of his administration on Clinton, including 9/11 and he had much assistance from the traditional media who propped him up even after it was clear that Iraq was a disaster. No Democratic president is going to be given that kind of support from the MSM. Clinton did not get so much as a day of a 'honeymoon' from the press, and he didn't have the sh*tty, out-of-this-world problems to contend with policywise that the next president will.
I believe that whoever wins the Democratic nomination will be the next POTUS, and I'm almost starting to think maybe the Republicans want it thay way. They will look a lot better as they attack and run against a Democratic president who is being blamed for everything that's gone wrong the last 8 yrs., than they would being at the helm as the ship of state is running aground or worse sinking altogether. And, they will have plenty of assistance from our friends in the media.

will hold true for some of the candidates. I think it's an opportunity for someone like Obama. For Hillary it would not be since her husband was part of what drove this country into the ground.
