12. No link on Gore; reports have a "key" endorsement to be announced in NYC today
==A day after it was disclosed that President Bush is predicting Senator Clinton will defeat Senator Obama to win the Democratic presidential nomination, Mr. Obama is swooping onto Mrs. Clinton's turf to raise money, announce a new endorsement, and, on Thursday, address supporters at a rally in Washington Square Park that could be the largest public event he's held in the city.==

...==This morning, he is scheduled to announce what his campaign is calling a "key endorsement" at the Omni Berkshire Place hotel on East 52nd Street at Madison Avenue.==

Just be careful when you "speculate" out the window of a moving vehicle. It can blow back on you!

14. Uh, perhaps it's a GROUP, not an individual doing the endorsing
Edited on Mon Sep-24-07 08:17 AM by Autumn Colors
Someone mentioned the BIG Obama endorsment might be the SEIU?

EDIT: And why does it have to be someone who's in NY for just today? Last time I checked there were millions of people who are in NYC EVERYDAY. I'm sure some of them might be notable enough to be considered a big endorsement.

Maybe you can at least post that to give a bit of substance to your OP. It still won't substantiate your claim, but it will be something more than total emptiness.

17. NYC correction officers' union says it will endorse Obama
Who needs Gore's endorsement? Obama has this ---

NYC correction officers' union says it will endorse Obama
9/24/2007, 5:24 a.m. EDT
The Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) — One of the largest municipal jail unions in the country said Monday that it will endorse Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois for president.

"Barack Obama is the one candidate who will put an end to the divisiveness in this country so that we can finally achieve greater economic prosperity for the working class and health care coverage for all Americans," said Norman Seabrook, the president of the city's Correction Officers' Benevolent Association. The group has about 9,000 active members.

Obama said in the same statement that he looked forward to working with the union as he continued to build his campaign for president.

"It's an honor to have the endorsement of these men and women who put themselves at risk everyday to serve on the front lines of our nation's criminal justice system," he said.

19. I would be surprised if he did
Here is what Gore said on CNN's Larry King Live, May 22nd:

Gore on Hillary Clinton
"She is running a very forceful campaign. She has earned the strong support of her constituents in New York."

Gore on Barack Obama
"He is also running a very strong campaign. I think that he is appealing to a lot of people who like the sense that he's talking about issues in a fresh way. And, you know, he has a lot of support."

Gore on John Edwards
"Likewise, running a strong campaign. Put out a lot of very thoughtful policy statements and positions. I think you can see the strength that he's gained from having been around the track last time."

The League of Conservation Voters, which has not yet endorsed a candidate for president, described Edwards' plan as the "most comprehensive global warming plan of any presidential candidate to date."

"Senator Edwards' plan demonstrates that he understands the magnitude of the challenge before us and the need for bold leadership to meet it," LCV President Gene Karpinski said.

35. Well, Gore has this wrong..
"Gore on Hillary Clinton
"She is running a very forceful campaign. She has earned the strong support of her constituents in New York."

Not supporting hillary..she didn't listen to her constituents in New York who knew much more than she did on the IWR..poor thing had presidential seals in eyes. And, that's not the only reason..that was just the first time I realized I couldn't trust her.

Blueberry sounds really good right now.

It will help him with that whole cranky/yelling thing.

especially delivering important news, if this is true. And also, you risk confusion. Does Clobama mean just Obama, or a combination of Senators Clinton and Obama?

On edit: Note that more than one poster in this thread has asked who "Clobama" is.

Completely agree. The cheap name-calling on DU has become an epidemic. And when it's done to a Democratic candidate in an ongoing election season, it's harmful to the extreme.
