Last week, not in the news.
Last week the republicans once again voted against habeas corpus, the cornerstone of democracy. Is there any question that they want a autocratic government??

The republicans also voted to condemn a citizens group that was trying to exercise their free speech rights. The republicans get to have the President of the United States (and his lackeys) propagandize there pro-war/pro-profiteering position any time they want at the expense of the tax payers. But when the taxpayers want to speak back, they have to buy their way into the media and then get condemned.

The republicans also gave support to the mercenary Blackwater organization. An organization that is paid gross amounts by the taxpayers but are not held accountable to any laws. Blackwater is BushCorp's brown shirts.
