Get real. Gingrich would pull votes away from the GOP, not from the Dems. And we'd have the added advantage that his candidacy would activate fence sitters who cannot stand the man to vote Democratic. And probably a lot of Greens would vote Democratic just to avoid voting for Newt. If I were a Green Party member I would be up in arms about the possibility that Gingrich could run as a Green.

1. Gingrich might yet be able to contribute something positive to society.
Is he an organ donor?

9. Why not? They took Ralph and helped ruin the country.

3. I'm pretty sure he was referring to running in the Republican primaries as a "green conservative"
Not running for president as a green. He'd obviously never do that.

4. Newt as Green?
Talk about a giant misfit!

There's no way they'd accept him...

No way at all...

6. You can't stop a person from joining a political party, including the Greens
If Newt Gingrich decided to run for the Greens, he'd have to survive the caucus and win the nomination, and I doubt Green caucus goers would nominate Newt at all.

7. I doubt the Newtster could get elected for anything by any party!
The RWers don't like him because he abandoned his wife when she was in the hospital dealing with cancer, and he also had extramarital affairs several times. The moderate Pubs threw him out of the House. The Dems CAN'T stand him at all! I'm sure he still has a hand full of supporters here in Atlanta, but that's IT!
