Democrats are like a dog laying next to a rolled up newspaper. |
|
All the owner (Repukes) have to do is look at it, and the dog (Dems) tremble in fear. Of course, that rolled up newspaper is national security or lies based on it.

4. actually, it's not the Repukes who own the newpaper |
|
it's an American public that put an obvious idiot like GW Bush in office (twice) and gave him a Congressional majority to boot.
They're the ones who fall for the lies...

7. Sorry, but that would imply that Bush was actually elected. Never happened. |
|
There were suspect results in 2002 congressional elections as well - and yeah, the real numbers in 2006 were truly much larger. So, no, the American public holds nothing - that would be a democracy. The media is the propaganda arm of the RNC - and that's where the paper sits.

the public has turned on Bush and the GOP. Dems have nothing to fear from public opinion, the polls are in their favor on the issues of the day.

14. there is a lot of truth in that |
|
but, the public is fickle...
and while I realize the two elections were most likely stolen, I also understand why the Democrats are leery of the current situation. It's hard to have much faith in the American voter - we can't forget that Bush had a 90% approval at one point.
I'll still maintain that it's not the Repukes that the Dems are "scared" of, it's the people that put those Repukes into office and then let them get away with what they have these last seven years.
The big prize is the 2008 election, and 15 months is an eternity in politics.

11. I get just as frustrated with congress as the next guy |
|
but it's not for lack of trying. What exactly are they supposed to do when they are constantly out numbered by two thirds of the vote? What we need is more democrats to level the playing field, as long as someone with tunnel vision such as Bush is at the helm everything and everything will get the veto hammer.
