If the RW found another Bill Clinton GF, would that hurt Hillary? |
|
I've heard Bill Maher say many times that he is worried that the Right Wingers who found Paula Jones and Monica Lewinsky, are staying silent now, but may release info on another "bill clinton bimbo" in Fall of 2008.
Now, Bill was never really hurt politically by the monica scandal, or jennifer flowers, so its likely that Hillary will also be Teflon to this issue.
I'm worried however, if there is evidence like a dress, or a child, or an std. That could be very damaging.
However, the French are very open about their mistresses, and they are doing okay. I think society has changed and is more accepting of Open Marriages.
After all, most baby boomers lived through the Free Love generation.

monica, jennifer, women in little rock. I think most women voters won't care anymore.
But on the other hand, men will see Hillary's forgiveness as a an excuse for their own personal indiscretions. its good that society has evolved, marriage is an outdated entity.

16. I don't think "society" sees marriage as "an outdated entity." |
|
Do you?
Further, I don't think repairing and maintaining one's marriage is a political liability. Marrying 3 or 4 times might be. I think all of our candidates' personal lives hold up just fine compared with the GOP candidates. I'm not worried!

19. If someone has many girlfriends outside of marriage |
|
would that nullify the traditional meaning of marriage. Or would it create a better understanding of male and female relationships where men have permission to fool around without repercussions.
I know many divorced men who would be very happy if society/courts were less concerned with infidelity.

would have a field day and embarrass Hillary unmercifully. Then you'd have Michelle Obama chirping in the background..like the declasse twit she is, "if ya can't run you're own house, how can you run..." Didn't I tell you that before the Primarys? Obama, I've told you a thousand time; put that butter up! NOW!... Oy, that woman gives me a headache!
yeah, sure as if BC wouldn't be recognizable anywhere. They'd look at him and think scandalous "book deal" $$$$..

That being said, I doubt that's a Bill infidelity would hurt his wife at this point. It would just be same ol' same ol', and the public has already dealt with this, and considering that Guliani can run, regardless of his mistress stories, I doubt highly that this would "hurt" Sen. Clinton.

I don't even know what the defination of Sexual Harrassment is, but when a married boss has a intimate relationship with an intern, that can be illegal.
To hear Monica speak today, she still thinks she was in a "mutual relationship". i tell her get over it, she was a warm body and he would have never left his wife.

Remember when they tried it on Kerry in 2004? It was all for naught.
The Repigs will pull a "Bimbo Eruption" or BE that tries to tarnish any candidate running against them at some point. Just as they would pull a BE on Clinton, surely they would try one on Obama as well. Same with Edwards. The only ones not believable would be Gravel or Kucinich. I kid...

|
And not because men besides Bill Clinton don't fool around. But because the country wouldn't want to go through that whole type of thing again. It was draining. And also because we're tired of hearing about the GOP corruption and shenanigans. The country, I think, is just tired of all these breaches of ethics and such and wants to concentrate on the very serious issues at hand.
I think Bill is probably still fooling around...that's part of his personal tragedy. His fatal flaw. I just hope he can keep his pants zipped up (outside of his and Hillary's bedroom) for the next couple of years, at least.

|
received all the blows.
The Democratic PARTY had to spend so much time fighting FOR Bill Clinton, that all the infrastructure and the party spokespeople were only schooled in that task for YEARS - and few even became familiar enough with the records and accomplishments of any other Democratic lawmaker - including All Gore or the 2004 nominee John Kerry.
THAT is why the Dem spokespeople on TV throughout that time got their asses handed to them on a daily basis - they were a pack of IGNORANT KNOW-NOTHINGS about any other Democrat but Clinton who BOGARTED all their attention for so long.

61. That's what TeamClinton spread afterwards. It's BULL. Bill and his party chairs |
|
oversaw the collapse of party infrastructure in too many states after 1996 election.
Gore only lost because the Democratic party's infrastructure was too weak to secure the election process, especially in crucial states like Florida and Ohio - and allowed the RNC to steal 2000, 2002 and 2004.
Gore won. The Dem party never appropriately assessed the blame and never secured the election process for the next two election cycle, thanks to the HORSECRAP put out by TeamClinton that Gore lost because he didn't embrace Clinton enough.
