except "we're gonna win"!.

within minutes, the Kerry landslide exit polls in Ohio reverse.

This is my recollection.

Does anyone else recall this bizarre moment and has anyone made a connection that this was a signal to DIebold?

Never got a satisfactory answer to my suspicions on that.

4. Also remember that press conference was
a reprise of the one from 2000 after Florida had been called for Gore. In 2004
seeing the repeat of 2000, I felt like an abuse victim and went to bed knowing that it was all
over.

6. Sullen family photos with one of the twins in bright green shoes
and the numbers changed.

Weren't there reports about Karen Hughs being all sad and comforting to bush when he got back to the WH that evening?

Yep. Stolen election.

some people posted some very favorable exit polling results, then what happens, Kerry loses...

I seriously can't handle any more f-ing Republicans, the Democratic nominee must win in 2008!

8. About the exit polls
The FINAL exit polls had Kerry winning nationally by 3%, compared with the "official" results, which had Bush winning by 2.5%. That's a difference of 5.5% between the FINAL exit polls and the official results.

Some time about one a.m. the next morning, the exit polls that were displayed on TV were "adjusted" to conform with the official results. The TV stations that displayed the final "adjusted" exit polls did not explain that those weren't really exit poll results, but rather were "adjusted" to be consistent with the "official" results.

The bottom line is this:

Nobody can reasonably argue that there wasn't a large difference betweent he FINAL exit polls and the official results.

What is in question for many of us is whether or not the failure to explain that the adjusted exit polls were not really exit polls, but were adjusted to fit the official results represented a purposeful attempt to mislead the public or not.

something about needing to make sure it was a convincing win.
