Just asking because looking at the website and the news media the race appears OVER so why waste a vote. I heard Laura Ingram today say quote: that race(democratic)is OVER!!!

1. According to bu$h she will not win the election anyway
Edited on Mon Sep-24-07 04:53 PM by liberal N proud
So I guess we shouldn't even have the election.

Point: They can say the winner will be ________ all they want but IF our votes count and are counted fairly and completely she may not necessarily be "The Candidate"

2. Interestingly Ted Rall embraced this in 2004 when Dean was ahead in the polling.
My own feeling is that while Hillary has done very well so far and is in good position to get elected the nominee, the voting hasn't happened yet.

19. Dean supposedly had it "wrapped up" in Jan of '04
There are several articles written then that questioned why even continue the primary nonsense.
Here's just one:

23. Ummm the article you cited has little to do with that.
Edited on Mon Sep-24-07 05:16 PM by rinsd
But I am certainly aware of a few people talking about skipping the primaries because of Bush's enormous warchest, Ted Rall is probably the most famous of them.

3. If that's the case...
Then there is no need holding an election for POTUS in 2008. If Hillary is the Democratic candidate the Dems just handed the White House to the rethugs.

11. I Agree & Won't Campaign For Her! This Is Just Ridiculous And I
feel like I'm getting kicked out of the way! The more I hear this, the madder I get and find it to be VERY VERY suspicious!

It MORE THAN SUCKS, it UN-DEMOCRATIC too! We haven't even voted in ONE Primary yet, and all we hear is IT'S HILLARY! Makes me want to turn and run, but don't know where to run!

Why are we even having debates? Let's just say OKAY and watch the CONSERVATIVES laugh all over again!

8. You're quoting a rightwing hack, and want your question considered seriously?
It's a BS question, too. A RW nutjob "says" that the primary is over, and you believe it?

That says more about you than you might want to admit, there....

9. One word:
RATINGS!

Now, the rest of the words...

The Cabal News Networks have to set it up as something exciting. So, my guess is that between now and then, Hillary's fortunes will wax and wane. Obama will take over...Edwards will make a speech and his numbers will bump. Temporarily. Just long enough to keep the excitement alive.

They'll make it out to be a horse race, even though they already know the winner. Hillary is the favorite now, so they'll pump her up as "the one to beat." Then the longshot will do well somewhere and the race will ratchet up. Then in the end, whew...like a Kentucky Derby race, Old Girl Hill will come from a length behind and win it after all.

IOW, Hillary WILL win. They're setting us up for that, because it's pre-ordained. But between now and November 2008, she'll lose ground, gain ground, lose ground...keep the horse race alive.

And then she wins.

It's all pre-determined.

.

15. If I ran the 2008 election
I would put Hillary Clinton and Evan Bayh (I REALLY like him!) in the White House NOW so we can save the USA.

We are working really hard to losing our status as the world's superpower.

I have said for years that China will pass us by soon as well as India.

This election campaigning started far too soon. It just leaves too much up in the air for too long.

Looking forward to my choice to get some young minds running the USA.

it's natural. It happens to everyone.

The telling point will be how she responds to her mistake and whether Obama or Edwards can capitalize on it.

17. Can I ask a very serious question of you?
Do you leave a game when one team is winning and your team is lagging?

Do you think a political race should be run in such a manner as to spare the tender feelings of the candidate (and his supporters) who are losing?

Do you think positive stories about candidates you dislike should not be reported so as to spare the tender feelings of you and yours?

Get real.

Sounds like you're falling for propaganda (whether from the right or from the pro-Clintonians) designed to make you make the statement you just made.

I haven't even made up my mind who I'm voting for yet, but I'd have no problem voting for any of them in the general as our nominee.

It ain't over 'til the fat lady (or whomever) sings.

28. No, but I'm sure the right fantasizes about Hillary as our choice.
Sorta like you, bigdarryl. Unfortunately for them, they are dreaming if they think the average American is going to buy their RW spin on the Clintons. If they were smart, they'd be pumping up the other candidates, but they aren't, so they are going to be rudely disappointed to find people comparing the Clinton to whatever loser wins the Republican primary and making a no-brainer decision next November.

But if that's who they want, they should continue to support Hillary by telling you the primary is over.

30. Be forewarned, when the media wants something to be true
it is not a good thing. Two choices if the corps are humping for Hillary. 1. They know how to beat her. 2. She is really in on the game and we can expect nothing new from her regime. I would be more comfortable with her if the media did not like her! I do not know one Repuglican who would vote for her which does not bode well for crossover voters. Sorry. I try do see what is special in her and it isn't happening for me. Peace, Kim

32. Many women will find Judy a turn off
Rudy's latest wife Judy just isn't my idea for a first lady. That position is important for some women voters, in my opinion. It reflects on the candidate's taste in not only women but lots of other things. How he will make choices.

39. Because it is human nature to make predictions
In fact some people's jobs demand that they make predictions. When they get them right it reflects well on them. Not everyone reaches the same conclusions when making a predcition, and even when shrewd people agree on the odds for a certain outcome, long shots sometimes win anyway. Everyone knows that. So it's never over until it's over.
