Who was really dishonored? Patraeus or TIllman, Lynch and the others |
|
I'm amazed at the silence surrounding the lies told about the death of Patrick Tillman and the lies told about the 'rescue' of Jessica Lynch
Where were all these offended people then, when actual troops, sacrificing all or certainly risking their lives to serve were lied about to catapult the propaganda?
I know, after all these years of this, I shouldn't be surprised in the least - maybe I just have some optimistic vision that we're all better people than we sometimes appear to be.

1. The bush administration has been using the military to advance the republicans from the start |
|
All MoveOn did was point out the truth about setting up the military (and suffering the corresponding loss of life) to advance the republican position in the political arena.
We see the firestorm MoveOn has brought down. Is there any wonder about why people with information about events such as Pat Tillman or Jessica Lynch are quickly silenced?

is always best under a cover of darkness or confusion/misinformation. Tillman was murdered because all of the careful grooming that BushCo had given him in order to elevate him to War SpokesHero® was for nothing, he was exercising his own free will (and sense of reason) and was going to use his fresh political schoolin' to come out against war policy.
And Jessica Lynch and her teammates were "un-assassinated": elevated beyond the level of their actual war experience into Instaheroes®. No wonder any of them appear in public.
