I would love to see Gore become a surrogate for....
Edwards and/or Obama. Actively and aggressively campaign for either of the most likely un-Hilary alternatives.

Ideally, I would love to see him do that for Kucinich. However, in the world of realpolitik, Dennis has too far to go to stop the Clinton/DLC bandwagon.

The way I see it, although neither are my ideal candidates, if Edwards or Obama can break out of the pack, and get the anti-Hilary people to coalesce around them, there still mught be a chance to stop the runaway DLC train.

Since he has gained a lot of cred both in the middle and on the left, while being basically still a mainstream guy, Gore could be a stimulus to make that happen.

1. I hope that in the event he doesn't run him self, he endorses Edwards or DK.
