3. cut my cable and subscription along time ago though
just drudge through the net for my news and of course use the free flowing exchange of ideas for perspective with my fellow human beings.

6. Several of those choices are NOT red herrings
I would assert that "Hypocritical GOP family values" and "Government agency in charge of X doesn't support/control X (presumably in violation of their mandate)" are vitally important issues and hallmarks of how badly the Republickers (and their Democratic co-conspirators) have damaged this country; addressing these concerns are vital.

I would also assert that "Other Dem candidate isn't Dem/lib/progressive enough" is of equally pressing concern as we look forward to the primary season. If a Democratic candidate is insufficiently Democratic/liberal/progressive, why bother voting for said candidate in the first place?

when we make talk about Craig's wide stance....that's not a critical issue.

When we talk about the Anti-gay 'agenda' of the GOP, that is a critical issue.

When we talk about the AUSA in Florida riding off to have sex with a toddler, that's not a critical issue.
When we talk about the AUSA pandering to the religious right, that is a critical issue.
