6. Thanks for the original alert which allowed some of us to see it at the 11:00 time Tuesday. |

It was really, really good to see him in a setting like that, away from giving formal speeches, etc.
He did very well, didn't he?
It looks so great to see these courageous young leftist leaders in South America coming forward to help steer their countries to more decent management after all this long, long time of inflicted suffering upon their poor by the oligarchy, collaborators of some very hostile, vicious, completely cold, selfish, preditory right-wingers.
He's right: he's not an Axis of Evil kinda guy. We do know who is.

8. Yes, but I wish they would have given him the 2 segment interview though, like they gave... |

...General/"president" Musharraf of Pakistan. With the need to translate everything, he barely had time to say anything.
Do you speak/understand Spanish? (I don't, I just know a few words here and there)

9. I did, a little, at one time, but apparently have forgotten everything I learned from disuse! |

Occassionally from out of nowhere a word for something appears from outta nowhere when I least expect it, sorta "savant" like, but I'm almost helpless with verbs now, and everything that's neccessary... Dammit.
Evo Morales had a very quiet, controlled voice, which was completely pleasant, and an excellent demeanor. It seemed that if you could understand Spanish well, it would be easy to understand his speech. The problem with hearing him was that as you strain to hear his words, you're also trying even harder to hear what the translator said. Hard to master.
He seems steady, strong, calm, and very perceptive. He watches people closely, although from a respectful distance, like someone who isn't particularly caught up in himself, unlike some leaders we know! You won't hear him bragging when he goes home that he had total awareness of anyone's psyche, right?
Loved hearing so much of the audience not only seemed to know of him very, very well, but also seemed completely friendly and supportive. What a treat!
