Dean people-Never give up the fight |
|
Today marks a sad end to the Dean campaign but today is only the beginning of the next phase of the fight. Dean and us fellow followers have changed the democratic landscape forever. Our little grassroots movement has effected the political present and future.
I ask all of you to never, ever stop fighing for a better America. Dean is a man of hope, a man of change, a man who is trying to help change this country. Always believe in his vision.
Their going to talk about how Dean made mistakes, like the "scream", blowing 41+ million, blah, blah, the only mistake Dean made was telling the truth and that's a mistake I can live with forever. Sadly, it's too bad more people didn't see what we saw in Dean. I guess America is just not ready for the truth yet. I guess their content with the same ole' Washington politicans but our efforts now and in the future can help make a difference in this country.
Again, I ask: NEVER GIVE UP THE FIGHT.
DEAN FOR AMERICA DEAN FOREVER

2. A big shout out to all Dean supporters. |
|
You guys are great. I believe when we win in November Dean would play a big part in it. He registered many young voters and gave them a reason to be a part of our democratic system.
Maybe there is a cabinet position for Dean in the next administration. Health and Human Services would be a good position for him.

7. I doubt shrub will hire Dean |
|
I don't think Kerry can beat shrub. As I have said time after time, I do not trust any of the polls and haven't since before the invasion of Iraq.

10. We will only win if Edwards is our Nominee... |
|
And Health and Human Services secretarialship is an insult to someone who has done more for the Party then ANYONE has in a very long time.

6. We owe Dean a t hank you |
|
Even though I was a Clark supporter from the time he entered the race (and will still vote for him in the meaningless Texas primary), I think ALL of us, no matter who we favor, need to thank Howard Dean for energizing the Democratic Party base like no one has done for a LONG time. I have never seen Democrats so excited about an election, and so ready to do whatever it takes to unseat a "popular" president. Dean was the major factor in creating that excitement.
I hope that when GE times rolls around, all of us can pull together for Kerry, or whoever the nominee is, and GET OUT THE VOTE! A large Democratic turnout and winning over even some of the Independents will win this election for us.

11. We just have to realize that this is about more than the White House |
|
We need to realize that we have the power to change the tenor of the entire political framework. It is, as I'm sure many of you feel, depressing not to see a tangible result from the energy and work that has been put in. We can only point to the record numbers of people voting and declare that part of that is because of us. We can only point to the increased level of criticism across the board against Bush and declare we are responsible for some of that.
It isn't as glorious as winning the White House, but at the end of the day, it is a significant step towards changing how politics is handled in this country. We just need to follow through with what we've started.

12. Howard Dean, I'm still with you all the way |
|
Edited on Wed Feb-18-04 01:14 PM by MODemocrat
Of course it's a disappointment to my family and me to see you might be bowing out of this race, but, we understand. You will be visible and will still be working for us to make a difference. You have given us so much hope, and brought our interest back to politics. :loveya:  :yourock:

13. If Dean's legacy is nothing more than having energized a |

badly wounded democratic party, his participation was indeed worth it.
