They've decided Hillary has it sewn up, and they're going to focus on her. They've decided *she's* the story.
You might think they'd realize that no one has voted yet, and there are months to go before the first primary. But I think they've made this their story, simple as that.

But it surely seems that's what they're doing.
Perhaps there's not enough dramatic tension in a race with 7-8 people all contending. Much tighter focus and more interesting when you can get it down to 2 -- or barring that, 1 against the crowd.
I'm not sure that political calculations are what's driving this, is all I meant. Not that it gets us in any better shape -- the result is the same, regardless of the motivation.
