Obama, Clinton, And Edwards
I watched the debate, closely, and none of them could guarantee there would be no American troops in Iraq at the end of their second term which is 1/20/13...

So please stop saying this or that candidate of the three is a PNACER... Their positions are virtually indistinguishable...

Oh, their positions on Iran and Israel were virtually indistinguishable too...

1. No they weren't vitually *indistinguishable*
Far from it.

Hillary spent more time proposing 3 point plans that effectively said nothing. Both Obama and Edwards were at least more concrete about what they would do.

None of them could guarantee there wouldn't be any troops in Iraq by 1/20/13...

All of them said they would prohibit Iran from becoming a nuclear power...

All of them danced around the response to the question what they would do if Iran attacked Isreal...

Just keeping it real...

5. That Wasn't The Point Of The Thread...
No disrespect...

It's amazing how quickly a thread gets hijacked...

4. more concrete ?? - not what I heard - numbers that were thrown about all result in
1 to 2 brigades withdrawn per month until combat forces are out - except if needed to fight Al Quida if there is such fighting in Iraq - with no permanent bases but no problem with temporary leases for bases.

6. I think the PNAC'er threshold issue isn't so much whether a single American with a gun is in Iraq.
It is what the troops' role is there. If they're there guarding American oil and protecting American markets, their president is a PNAC'er. If they're there trying to smooth the exit so that an Iraqi government can safely protect its own people who are benefitting from their own resources, I'm not inclined to call their president an PNAC'er

10. And either they'll be lying or they will be telling the truth.
I admit that it's very unlikely that an occupying army can help, much less a non-occupying army that is actually mandated to help. There were UN peace keeping forces all over Kashmir in '88 before violence errupted.

8. Not what I heard at all.
Hillary said the same thing about Iran that she said before the Iraq war - that Iran is evil and full of terrorists. She defended her vote on the Lieberman bill by beating the drums of war.

Obama said he would use force in Iran only as a last resort.

You don't see the difference?
