The debate organizers hate Joe Biden!
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2007/09/27/us/politics/20070927_DEBATE_GRAPHIC.html#transcript

See, he only spoke longer than Mike Gravel, and the only explanation for that must be because they hate Joe Biden but not as much as they hate Mike Gravel, probably because they're the most liberal ones on the stage, meaning we should all unquestioningly support their candidacies. Screw Dennis Kucinich, they obviously like him better than Biden, we should push for Biden/Gravel 2008!

1. That was a shame too
as it had been a big day for Biden in the senate and he still wasn't given the attention he deserved. I think they knew that Kucinich would be good for some funny one-liners, which he was, but to essentially ignore Biden was unforgivable.

4. Air America is givingall the candidates FREE AIRTIME
this is awesome. Giving all the candidates free time to do whatever they wish. Maybe this is the first step toward SANE campaigning and hopefully public financing of elections.

3. Biden called out Russert on this and was exactly right to do so.
Biden is the head of the Senate foreign relations committee who had had important legislation passed THAT DAY and Tim Russert barely let him in on the foreign policy section. It's not like Gravel is the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Comittee who had drafted the new Iraq strategy that was adopted by the Senate. I almost threw something at the TV but Biden was as courteous as could be expected.

6. Biden could actually win the election if given too much coverage
and that won't sell news media time the way a Clinton presidency would, the controversial, first woman, president. Imagine all the papers being sold. Imagine all the people across the world tuning in to the major networks, whose news programs are really hurting for cash. They dropped the ball on Iraq and they're doing it again in the name of profits. Dan Rather is right. Our news media is infected.
