Newt Gingrich: Will he run? |
|
If he decides to run (if he manages to get the $30 million he's asking for), the GOP would rally with him without a doubt. Newt is slick and tells Republicans the kinds of stuff they like to hear, and he is the only major Republican who is actually willing to break Rove's rules and try to actually WIN black and Hispanic votes (dude has been very vocal about the need for the GOP to campaign in black and Hispanic communities across the country).
In fact, I feel he would be harder to beat than expected. I've been hearing him lately in talk radio shows and stuff, and it seems like he would be a tough candidate to beat. He's got the rhetoric the GOP so desperately needs at the moment to fool people once again.
Should we fear him? I do.

he will pull the 'fundie' vote and have full backing of the GOP. I really do not think the GOP will win the White House this election but, you have to wonder if they have not effed things up so bad that a Dem cannot straighten it out enough in one term to satisfy the voters.

should ever get a second term, ever again, until they all show that they will do the job in the best interest of "We the People".

2. Quoting him in the debates |
|
from this video I just posted tonight would bury him. Americans may be crazy, but they aren't stupid. My only question is, would the Democratic nominee have the balls to call him on this and all his other bullshit? http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=385&topic_id=58206&mesg_id=58206

3. It must be very difficult to give up your booshie roots, but Newty |
|
is a loser.
As Howard Dean said, "The republican field looks like the 1950's and talks like the 1850's"
Gotta love him

6. Why should Newt feel it necessary to run? |
|
Hillary Rightwing Clinton is running and using Newt's healthcare plan, he must be so very proud. Years ago, he proposed that there should be a law forcing people to buy health insurance.
