Not happy with Hillary? Here's how to vote early, with your wallet.
Simple solution: Send some money to Barack Obama. You don't need to particularly support him, but with the focus on the money race right now, every bit of competition Obama gives to Clinton is a hole in her public image. Your ability to contribute to someone else is an early pre-vote against the kind of campaign Clinton is running, and Obama is the best choice because he's the only one with a chance of beating Clinton in total fundraising again, and changing the news story. I'm going to toss in $50 in a few minutes, because amongst other reasons I don't like the tack she's taking that actually discussing what she would or wouldn't do is somehow inappropriate for a political campaign.

1. Obama
is right behind Hillary in insurance company donations, so I am not sure he is who I would send my money to.

4. Dodd has health care for all
Automatic enrollment in either Medicaid or a federal sliding scale program. He keeps insurance, but provides a real public alternative.

6. I was talking about donations
I don't know where Dodd was on that list, but it wasn't in the top 3 either.

7. I was talking about campaign donations
If somebody wants to donate to someone with a good health care policy, that has a chance to pass, Dodd would be a good alternative.

11. A caveat being that he is from CT where most insurance companies are based.
However, that some chunk of change especially in light of his total contributions.

12. That makes sense
I also noticed that he's the Democrat with the most hedge fund donations, but I guess that's also because a lot of hedge funds are based in Connecticut. All very interesting nonetheless.

13. Dodd has an interesting resume and some interesting plans(check out his healthcare).
But I just don't see him in this election as much more than an also ran who may get a cabinet seat.

15. Well take a look at this
MANCHESTER, N.H.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Democratic and Republican candidates have accepted more than $3.7 million in campaign contributions this year from healthcare industry sources, with more than 45% of it going to just two candidates, Sen. Hillary Clinton and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, according to a new report issued Friday.

Overall, healthcare contributions to the 18 currently announced Republican and Democratic Presidential candidates total an aggregate $12.8 million since 1989 – with 29% of that total donated just in the first quarter of 2007 alone.

Clinton topped the recipient list with $868,722, 23% of all the healthcare money donated to candidates this year. Romney was a close second at $833,385, 22% of the total dollars. The other frontrunners followed. Sen. Barack Obama, with $574,268, 15%; Sen. John McCain, $423,751, 11%; former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, $408,822, also 11%; and former Sen. John Edwards, $222,950, 6%.

2. Or Edwards
I'm splitting my donations between the two -- Edwards and Obama. Partly because they are my 'dream team', partly because I don't like a 'presumptive president' being annointed by the media, no matter who they may be, and partly because I like to see a horse race *be* a horse race.

Reminds me: It's Edwards' turn.

9. That's what most people say and they give to other candidates
who remain silent on the next possible war with Iran/ Syria, remain silent on the draft Iraq Oil law, keep for profit companies in their HC plans, do not pledge to bring the troops home by 2013 etc.
etc.

We get what we pay for :(

He is the front runner in money, but it hasn't done him a bit of good.
