Dodd questions Clinton's electability
U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd of Connecticut questioned on Friday the electability of Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton, saying she sports a confrontational brand of politics that turns off voters.

While Clinton, a senator from New York and wife of the former president, can probably win the general election, Dodd said, "I think people want to move on. The melodrama and all, we need to get behind us."

Dodd, who trails her in polls by a large margin, said the country is tired of continued fighting involving the Clintons and their political foes in the Republican Party.

"Isn't it time the country came together and we started solving ... problems? If it's just about a fight, a never-ending fight, the country is so turned off to that. They want leadership that will bridge those divides and bring us together as a people," he said on a taping of "Iowa Press," to be shown at 11:30 a.m. Sunday on Iowa Public Television.

3. I like Dodd
He seems to be the most pragmatic of all the candidates. Sensible and not given to blow hard retoric.

5. "she sports a confrontational brand of politics..."
I thought her detractors say she is a centrist and works with the right?

Now, her problem is she doesn't come together with the republicans to work together?

Which is it?

6. please...why do people just spew the right wing talking points
like lemmings? She does not have a confrontational brand of politics. That is simply a remnant lie from the vast right-wing conspiracy.

Dodd has just gone down in my esteem for using the propaganda in an attempt to bring himself up in the polls.

13. many have said it. My point is that those who say it made it up
it is not true. And to continue to regurgitate the right-wing talking points does none of us any good. And it bothers me that Dodd will use those lies when it suits him.

9. At the onset of the campaign, I also doubted whether Clinton was electable.
And against a strong Republican candidate, maybe she wouldn't be. However, the Republicans have a bunch of bozos running. Clinton does have baggage, no doubt. But compared to any of the potential Republican nominees, her baggage is a tiny carry-on in comparison.

From what I can see, unless something changes drastically, any Democratic nominee has a strong chance of winning in the general election.

This country has severe idiot fatigue. We are not going to elect Rudy, McCane (spelling intentional), Mittens or Fred.

11. The sign of a losing campaign...
Can't beat their opponent on the issues..

Can't get above low single digits in the polls...

So try to come up with something bogus to scare voters...

Nominating a new face in 2004 really kept the right wing attacks away didn't it Chris...

Fact is, I'd rather have someone who has successful experience fighting these a-holes on the right...in this field that person is Hillary...
