Poll question: Bigger "Traitors": DLC or Kucinich? |
|
I've read in recent days that Dennis Kucinich is non-committal in backing Nancy Pelosi in her re-election bid against Independent candidate Cindy Sheehan.
In the past election, Southern Democrats like Mary Landrieu and Harold Ford Jr. endorsed avowed Independent Joe Lieberman over our Democratic nominee Ned Lamont.
Therefore, I ask the question. Why is it okay for Democrats to back Lieberman, while Kucinich is scorned for staying neutral.
Bigger "traitor"?
And I vote DLC!

Oh, BTW, Sen. Clinton hasn't done a damned thing for us for years, and now wants to be President, for no reason.
THAT should do the trick, if your traitor stuff wasn't enough.

I've heard it ascribed to both of these categories.

Kucinich really isn't all that relevant. What he does, both negatively and positively, really doesn't have that much of an impact on the party or policies that are enacted.
The DLC does however have considerable impact and influence and most of it is undoubtably negative, unless you consider increased corporate influence on politics a positive trait for democracy.
