Clinton & Obama participated in CBC events - where was everyone else? |
|
While we - rightly - call out the Republican frontrunners for snubbing African-American hosted/themed debates, we should also question why most of the Democratic candidates did not participate in the Congressional Black Caucus events, one of the largest gatherings of African-Americans in the country.

2. ALL of the candidates were invited to events |
|
For example, every candidate was invited to the dinner, an event that candidates usually attend. But only Obama and Hillary attended.
Yes, Hillary was invited to speak on one of the panels (and there were dozens of them), but that didn't mean that the other candidates couldn't have attended other events, especially the state delegation events and the dinner, where they would have gotten huge exposure.
A big missed opportunity.
