Dems: We spend $10 billion/month in Iraq, but can't spend $7 billion more/yr to insure our own kids? |

Democrats, this is what you need to say when knuckle dragging Senators like Mississippi's Trent Lott talk about necessary belt tightening. Health care for kids is where Republicans have finally decided to draw the line on spending?
I find this beyond absurd.

2. Exactly! But, interesting enough, both Chuck Grassley and Orin Hatch support the SCHIP bill. |
|
As well as Pat Roberts, R-Kansas, who said on the Senate floor that the White House has submitted no alternative plan to provide health care for uninsured children in this country.
Now, how much more did George W. Bush asked for for Iraq and Afghanistan last week? That's right--$190 billion or so, and that is in addition to the Pentagon's 2008 budget request of over $480 billion!
