Good day, people who do not have an irrationally strong emotional reaction to Hillary! |
|
I just wanted to thank you for not starting and participating in totally-irrational Hillary flamefests. You, the people who believe that she is actually a Democrat, and not actually Republican...you, the people who believe that she is not significantly more-likely to win the general election than John Edwards or Barack Obama...you people are what's keeping DU readable.
Thanks!

Even those of us who do not have an irrationally strong emotional reaction to Senator Clinton can see that she'll be a disaster in the GE.

18. I disagree. I don't believe Clinton "works really hard" for the Rape-Publicans. |
|
But she hasn't gone out of her way to "work really hard" for the American people, either.

And that provokes no strong emotional reaction from you? You have ice in your veins.

17. Of course not. I'll work hard... |
|
...for whomever is our nominee. But until then, I'm doing my best to nominate another candidate.
I thought that's the way it works?

14. Yeah, what are you some sort of Republican? |
|
Just because shes buddies with Rupert Murdock doesn't mean she will lose. Just because she enables Bush doesn't mean she's not a viable candidate for some party.

3. Can we have a rational Hillary flamefest |

since there are so many good reasons, and this thread is going nowhere?

11. Good Day. The people following the Bush Doctrine of "you're either |
|
with us or against us" on both sides of the Hillary divide make rational discourse practically impossible.
Thanks for being a voice of reason.

12. I just read two posts downthread that are both |
|
from Obama supporters.
One of them has been there for about 90 minutes, with no replies. The other has two supportive replies.
This thread took less than two minutes to start attracting negative posts and smears.
So where are all these posters who smear "other people's" candidates? Where are the Hillary supporters who smear all the other candidates? I keep reading about them, and I am not seeing them.
I guess I will keep watching.
I am not even a Hillary supporter. I am undecided.

laugh. Isn't that what the re pukes did to Dean? This place can be very creepy

The Hillary Laugh.
We heard all the shit about Gore, too. His earth-toned clothes, his boring wooden affect, how he invented the Internet....

27. I am still so torn about whom to support. |
|
I live in Illinois, so it is all Obama, all the time. Many of the volunteers from our county are in Iowa right now, working hard for Obama. I think that is great, but I just can't support anyone that wholeheartedly yet. (They tell me it is looking great for him there).
If Clinton gets the nomination, I may not be able to come here any more. I hate those "I am leaving DU" threads, so I may just fade away quietly. I come here primarily to learn, and the educational value of DU seems to be diminishing daily.
Whoever it is will get my full support. I will go down every gravel road. And believe me, my precinct has plenty of those! I will visit all the republicans, too. This will be a year of crossovers.

But I think the visceral reaction to Hillary is caused by her failure to apologize for her war vote, her centrist drift and Clinton fatigue.
