Why can't we have a "Campaign 2008" forum so I don't have to pick thru all this candidate crap? n.t |

I mean , you are in the GD: Politics forum. How generalized do you want this place to be? Maybe we should have forums for each candidate!!!!

I'm pretty sure there is one for each candidate already.

11. POW! Clinton says Obama is not experienced enough, |
|
and POW! Robert Reich steps in for Obama and says he is too, and... Oh God, I just can't stand the excitement!
No...I mean YES, arendt wants to put this stuff somewhere else, but the candidate forums have verboten any fisticuffs there. NO FIGHTING IN THE CANDIDATE FORUMS! ;-)
GD Politics, the Badger III garbage disposal of DU, is where the brawls happen. And that, my friend, is why it's such a happenin' place.

3. Arendt, you were here when GD Politics was created, yes? |
|
GD Politics was created as a receptacle for the candidate crap. We wanted to get it out of GD, so Skinner et al. created GD Politics as a kind of trash bin for the keyboard candidate warriors!

14. I remember there was GD and GD-Campaign 2004. Can't remember if... |
|
GD-Campaign 2004 and GD-P ever existed AT THE SAME TIME. And, that is what I am proposing now.

4. GDP is the "Campaign 2004" forum. |
|
It was created for that exact purpose.

9. You see, in essence, GD Politics is the trash heap |
|
of DU, particularly around primary time. After the last primary, we debated whether we should keep it or just let it go. It was determined that we had to have such a place, especially for the primary season--a place where normally reasonable people could grow fangs and hurl insults at each other, assisted (occasionally) by the parade of disruptors who are drawn to the place like iron shavings to a magnet.

13. GDP used to be Campaign 2004. I'm surprised they didn't change it back, |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-30-07 08:59 PM by Kelly Rupert
just to make it clear that this is where the candidate stuff goes.
