16. Hmmm...duck and cover
:hi: One of the most famous of all "Civil Defense" films, usually shown in schools, community meetings, churches, etc. This was first released in 1950, and tried to explain what might happen in case of nuclear attack- and how to prepare for one. Today, this film is a record of how naive the public could be about the effects of radiation- and "protection" against it.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0K_LZDXp0I

17. Or, as the phrase was reinvented in the 1970's....
"Put your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye."

Seriously, HRC would be better than any Repuke on the list. But a DLC'er as President makes me real nervous, too. :scared:

6. By accepting the fact that we'll have to continue to fight hard for Progressive values.
And by each of us thanking his or her maker that there's no longer Rape-Publican rot in the People's House.

Hypothetically, of course.

8. Desist all futile resistance, and prepare to be assimilated?
Seriously, Hillary is our next President. She's an unstoppable juggernaut. But its a good thing. Sure, there's witches, but there's good witches too:

22. We are going to have antiwar marches in March of 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013
Every year that the war goes on, regardless of the party affiliation of the President, we will demonstrate against this criminal and wasteful war, and we will demand prosecution of the war criminals.

26. For me it has NOTHING to do with the fact she's a woman
and EVERYTHING to do with her corporate ties, her support of the Iraq war, AIPAC and most of the rest of her policies.

I'll say "No thanks" to a Hillary presidency.

I'm a woman and I'd love to see a woman as POTUS, but it has to be the right woman.(Why won't Barbara Boxer declare?). My dislike of Hilary has jack shit to do with her gender- So you can lose that tired meme.

30. Ritual cleansing, yes.
The disgust, betrayal, and resignation must be cleansed so that we can move forward positively.

I'd suggest heavy local involvement, and inundating state reps and reps in congress with our issues, and with our concerns.

31. Resolving to stay true to our believes and goals
and not accepting in a Democrat anything that we would reject from a Republican. On many issues, I wish I had been more consistent on this in the 1990s rather than being a kneejerk supporter of a Democratic President.

This does not apply to just Hillary Clinton, but to any other Democrat who wins. I would hope that I would have done this even if it would have been John Kerry in 2004.
