DU the House and Senate
I'm not sure if this has been widely discussed yet -- and, if it has, I apologize for being redundant -- but perhaps we can get a whole hell of a lot of DUers to email, call, FAX or write their Reps and Senators -- as well as Olberman, et al. -- and put pressure on them to get Rush Limbaugh off of the Armed Forces Radio Network?

With all our voices combined into one, I bet we could make it a news story and get our Reps and Senators to FINALLY do something good!

Let's boot Rush off of Armed Forces Radio Network!

AFN Response:

First, thanks for your input. AFN has an obligation, backed by Congressional mandate, to provide our audience access to the same variety and diversity of programming that they would enjoy if they were back in the States. Because political talk radio is among the most popular stateside radio formats, AFN currently offers four political radio talk shows on our AFN|radio schedule: Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity represent the conservative viewpoint and Ed Schultz and Alan Colmes represent the liberal viewpoint. We make our choices based on popularity with the American audience and we don't censor programs. Please remember that AFN strives to provide its overseas audience with a choice and lets them decide for themselves what they want to see and hear. There is no requirement for our audience to listen to anything they personally disagree with. To review the balance we strive to achieve via the totality of our radio and TV schedules, please visit http://www.myafn.net. Again, thanks for your input, and for your service. 3. fine
but I think they might change their minds if Members of the House and Senate -- as well as the Media -- were to openly question how appropriate it would be to continue broadcasting his show.
