The polls have shown her supporters are by and large older, minorities, and poorer or otherwise known as "downscale" democrats. They have better things to do than spend hours obsessing about politics online.

Don't be shocked when they all come out and vote for Hillary in January. Just because they aren't online doesn't mean they don't exist.

They do. And you will all find out in a big way. The netroots has nothing on the democratic base. The base votes democrat rain or shine. The base doesn't whine and threaten to vote third party or stay home cause they don't like the candidate.

1. The base also doesn't crown a queen...
... before any votes have been cast.

the netroots is wealthier, whiter, younger, and more educated. But the downscale democrats are much more in number.

12. The online community...Maybe a bit more informed?
Can't have the wool pulled over there eyes? Its got nothing to do with rich, or white. Many of moderate means participate online. And I'm 50...and not in the minority from my experience on the web.

the informed came out in record numbers in 2006. I don't think those same people who came out in mass numbers because of their disgust with this war are going to come out in record numbers to vote for Hillary Clinton.

Most of anyone's supporters don't obsess about politics online.
Except perhaps DK and the Paulies...but they have their own problems...

3. Sorta like Nixon's "Silent Majority"?
I have no doubt that in "open primaries" lots of Republicans will cross over to vote for Hillary. Their success in November depends on her nomination.

4. Might not be the analogy you want. Nixon's "Silent Majority" was very real, as we found in 1972. n/t

15. I think the Obama haters need to find a new meme....
I think the Edwards haters need to find a new meme...

I think the Richardson haters need to find a new meme...

I think the Biden haters need to find a new meme....

et al

And I especially think the Hillary supporters need to find a different meme than calling every Democrat who is not in her camp "Hillary haters"

Amazing how similar this mindset is to that of the radical right who think that those who don't follow their brand of religion are haters of religion. And similar to that of the Republicans who thought opposition on Iraq War just showed hating Bush and hating America....

I thought we as Democrats were different! I am proud that we as a party can disagree with each other civilly. Without calling each other haters....

Unity will win the next election. Disunity will lose it. Enough of this calling each other names.
