Its AMAZING how SOME DUers adopt rightwing talking points to attack candidates other than their own |
|
I don't care who started it first, who did what to whom, this shit is just f'ing silly, immature, childish and freaking counter productive. The DUers who resort to this shit should be ashamed of themselves (even some of brothers and sisters in the Obama camp). OK course I'm speaking about the attack on Obama for not wearing a lapel pin, but you could drop Obama's name and add Hillary's on some issues, Edwards on others, etc.
I want my guy to win, but I'll be damned if I stoop to adopting right wing talking points or tactics in attacking the rest of the Democratic field. There are differences between all of our candidates and there is absolutely nothing wrong with offering up criticisms, but when I see DUers acting like FREEPERS it just pisses me off to no end.
Once this nomination is settled I'd like to be unified with the other candidates and their supporters and I'm mindful of that.

I usually hear these accusations flung around when people start asking questions about Hillary's corporate-leaning loyalties. Not exactly a RW talking point.

that appear to have been started by right wing trolls.
When you see this counterproductive stuff, hit "alert."
There is no excuse for keeping these threads going.

Responding to two threads using Rightwing sources that I cited, you said, "Obviously, the mods are doing their jobs and locking threads that appear to have been started by right wing trolls."
The two threads were started by longime Obama supporters on DU...

The mods handled both. No need for a separate call-out thread.
Unless, of course, you want to feed the Hillary victimization trolls.

If you can show me 99, I'll change my tune.
Hell, just show me more examples than the freeper/sexist/hater accusations that fly every time someone deigns to criticize St. Hillary.

when it comes to running against our candidate in the general.
I feel your pain. Some have sited right wing sites to slam Kerry, saying that even a broken clock is right twice a day. Funny how they and that broken clock agree at that precise moment.

Just where is that WMD, when will we be greeted as liberators, should we make the bible a required textbook in public schools, is it okay for family values trash like vitter to remain in the senate, should we courtmartial our phoney soldiers, does the deficit matter (not to conservatives). Are you rush limbaugh? ann coulter? I don't know who you are but you do have a future in comedy.

27. Is it socialism to help other people? |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-04-07 03:35 PM by HypnoToad
Why are some Republicans trying to bring in unlimited H1Bs, and/or giving them lowered cost education or free education in their home countries?
Sounds like socialism to me, and they are not being exploited because of all the H1B folks I've seen in my area, none of them feels like they're doing what they're doing because someone else is pointing a gun at their heads.
BTW: I am something of a centrist and have changed my opinions over the years. But offshoring seems to be harming America more than it's helping, and if there's a reason I'm not fathoming, a helpful hint would be nice.

How's that going for you? Oh wait, that's right, you didn't go. You're supporting freedom in America by trollig internet message boards.
You know, you'd probably last longer over there. Maybe you should sign up - unless you're chicken.

neutered and neutral in the primaries since My State (Mississippi) has a late, irrelevant and impotent primary and my hope for the White House General Clark is not in the race. I am not backing nor "not backing" any dem candidate and pledge my loyalty and pennies and energies to the dem nominee.
But I think Senator Obama is right on the money about the lapel pin. I'm a Vet. Pins (or bumper stickers or magnets) do not make a person patriotic. It is an irritant to me. I do not flaunt my patriotism but I've had to whip out the Vet Card on several occasions these past five years because of right wing crap and I heartily resent that.
But yeah folks, be positive about your candidate as wndycty says, vote in your primary and give your whole hearted support to the party's nominee. Flame me if you must, I've taken much worse in the service then any of you can give to me here.
BTW - I'll be writing in General Clark in my state's worthless rimary.

31. We all know how many slurring posts have been made against Hillary |
|
as opposed to the few against Obama. And we all know who makes them. So the best thing is pass em up. I get sick of Obama's supporters trashing Hillary but I think the thing about the pin is silly also. Obama can wear what or wants or not. What's the big issue.
