McCain: The Rush "issue is closed"
http://time-blog.com/swampland/2007/10/mccain_the_rush_issue_is_close.html#comments

John-boy sez:

"As I said, I don’t think it was appropriate to say that, but really, to demand apologies and whatnot? I can’t tell you the number of times I have misspoken, and when I have, I’ve tried to correct it and tried to move on. I think Rush is saying he was only talking about one figure. To me, this issue is closed."

I can't remember. Did McCain say anything similar about Kerry's botched joke?

Fuck you, Senator Hypocrite.

3. Hey Rush...read this

I found it at the library a few months ago and couldn't finish it because it was pretty bad writing.

4. Not so fast, John Boy.
You don't get to decide what's closed and what's open, so STFU, you opportunistic hypocrite!

6. Perhaps we should call McCain a "phony former POW" and see how he likes that
Perhaps we should advance a theory that McCain was never really a POW in Vietnam.

And if Rush Limbaugh attacks us for it, we'll just tell him "the issue is closed."

8. We should advance a theory that McCain worked with his
Vietnamese captors and gave them all the information they asked for, which could easily be the truth the way this guy flip-flops on everything. McCain is way past being needed for anything. He should just retire and spend Cindy's money.

7. Well, Mr. McCain, I must ask--
Who the hell asked you!?
Or better yet, shades of grade school playground, "Who died and made you president?"

Just because repukes are not in quite as good a position to slap us around, like they used to, doesn't mean that you have suddenly acquired some credibility, y'know. In a normal universe, not where half the politicians have become victims of the other half, a lot like the hostages who have been held captive too long and start identifying with their captors, credibility has to be earned!

9. Come to think of it, he was one of the first people to attack Kerry as was Sen. Clinton.
Then the media circus began.

11. I think McCain should direct that statement to Limbaugh...
as of today, Limbaugh has spent some 8 days on this issue, talking about little else. His defense of his statements are pathetic, and each time he brings the episode up, it gets new life.

One thing I have noticed about the RW pundits that is glaringly obvious, is that each time they get called on something, they expend immense amounts of time and energy in their defense, it is expotentially driven. The louder and longer they declare their "innocence" the more guilty they are.

Limbaugh got caught in a ripple, and has helped to turn it into a tidal wave. He can't stop talking about it, and that shows me, he's guilty as hell, he knows it, everyone else knows it...he could have just apologized from day one....but he is too stupid to figure that out. He's digging his own grave with gusto.
