Bill Clinton will go out and restore America's image in the world.
Edited on Fri Oct-05-07 02:07 AM by calteacherguy
Mr Clinton, 61, reveals that his wife has said she would ask him to "go out and immediately restore America's standing, go out and tell people America was open for business and cooperation again" after eight years marked by unilateralist policies that have "enraged the world".

Edit: No word yet from the other candidates that they would ask Clinton to do same.

5. Bill has already improved his legacy.
He's enormously popular and well received almost everywhere he goes.

I don't know anybody who still talks about Monica and the impeachment except for a few Clinton haters who just can't let go.

More people look upon Bill favorably now because of some of the good things he's done.

6. I recognize that but he still has that impeachment thing overshadowing him in the history books.
I think Bill wants to broker a Peace Accord or something to overshadow that in his history.

11. That was during his term of office. All his accomplishments have been overshadowed
historically by Impeachement. He needs to do something BIG mow that he is in "retirement". If Hillary is elected he will have not only another place in history as the spouse of the first woman president but she will give him the oopurtunity to rewrite his history in a sense. However I think any Democratic president wopuld utilize his skills.

15. no one cares about the impeachment
outside of the Republicans who did it. His popularity went up here in the states when that happened. The rest of the world saw it for the political farce it was.

Bill Clinton is one of the most, if not the most, popular Americans living. He'll be a great ambassador for us once we get a Democrat in the White House.

Whichever Democrat...

7. When he comes to our country he always gets large crowds and warm welcomes.
That is not only because of the good work he is doing in the world now. We remember him as president. He treated other countries and their leaders with respect. He still does.

12. I have no doubt he'll make up for a lot of the damage Bush has done
and he'll do it quickly. Hell, he'll probably enjoy that role more than he did the presidency.

17. The world loves Bill Clinton. He can certainly restore our image
with his gift for truly caring about the people. That kind of honest charisma cannot be hidden. I've told y'all before about the cute Belgian couple I met in a bed and breakfast in Mississippi. We were chatting and out of nowhere they volunteered that they did not like our president. I returned that neither did I, and they continued that they loved Bill Clinton. They said everyone in Europe loves Bill Clinton.

18. Why is it Bill's job? That the responsibility of the next elected President.
What? Hillary doesn't have the political skills to restore our image around the world? I thought that she would be this great (if elected) President who can bring people and nations together (Oh I forgot, those are Barack Obama's skills and traits). Question? IF BILL CLINTON HAS TO CARRY HILLARY, THEN WHY IN THE FUCK DO WE NEED HER IN THE FIRST PLACE? I don't want another GWB who has to carried by a more experienced politician (Chaney) because she does not have a clue what she's doing. Having to check in with Bill Clinton in order to make decisions. Bullshit! That's what a presidential staff is for. Besides, Bill has his own agenda to worry about. I guess that she will have Bill on speed dial.

This sound like a disaster waiting to happen if she's elected. Hillary wants the aura and prestige of being the first female Prez, final career goal notch in her belt, not the tremendous responsibility that comes with the presidency. This is not a good fit for the american people, this country and other nations worldwide.

however I do not support Hillary and it's a real turnoff that she uses him for whatever credibility she can without proving her own.

Edited on Fri Oct-05-07 04:59 PM by tammywammy
He could easily do more, if asked, by any president, since he's doing it for President Bush already.

Sorry, that's not a valid reason to vote Hillary.
