NY Daily News: Hillary ad hints at Rudy's 9/11 weak spot

WASHINGTON - As new polls put Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton on a White House collision course, the former First Lady yesterday unveiled an ad that forecasts future attacks on the ex-mayor's handling of 9/11. (Ad can be viewed at link.)
The spot, touting Clinton's health care creds, doesn't mention Giuliani but slaps at the treatment rescue workers received. "She stood by Ground Zero workers who sacrificed their health after so many sacrificed their lives," the script says, with a stark photo of Clinton wearing a mask near the wreckage of the twin towers. The ad began airing in Iowa and New Hampshire.
Clinton has declined to even say Giuliani's name in the campaign, but he has come under fierce criticism by some, including firefighters, for not doing more to guard the health of recovery workers.
The veiled swipe comes as poll after poll shows Clinton solidifying her lead among Democrats - and Giuliani gaining GOP traction by casting himself as her kryptonite. But Giuliani's anti-Clinton tactic doesn't promise an Oval Office future. A new ABC News/Washington Post poll found Clinton has opened an 8-point lead over Giuliani in a toe-to-toe contest, 51% to 43%. The two were in a dead heat in a similar survey in January....
